Goodies from District 51: Part 1 The District announced that it will recognize the following achievements.
Membership – Smedley Award Campaign (1 August – 30 Sept)
The Smedley Award Campaign is an annual campaign by TI to encourage membership growth in the period (1 Aug – 30 Sept). To qualify, a club needs to register 5 new members (new, dual and reinstated) within the campaign period.
Qualified clubs will receive -
From TI:
A Smedley Award Ribbon
From The District:
A module of your choice from
The Better Speaker Series,
The Successful Club Series, or
The Leadership Excellence Series.
Education – Competent Communicator Award (1 July – 30 Sept)
The District will recognize CC achievers during this period with the District Eagle Gold Pin

Leadership – Recognition of Attendance at TLI Training Round 1
The District will recognize leadership commitment by awarding the District Eagle Gold Pin for club officers who attended the TLI Training Round 1 subject to the following criteria:
- The club records minimum 2 CC in the period (1 July – 30 Sep)
- Club Success Plan completion confirmed by Area Governor
It is hoped the Club Presidents are excited with the above incentives and will communicate them to their Club Officers and members.
This announcement should help the Presidents to lead their clubs to a minimum of Distinguished Club status by 31 March 2008.
